Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 5 Update: Fixed Loot Exploit, Explosive Shot, Charging Bull and Quarry Quandry, For-All True Grit Perk, and More; No Mention of Black Emporium and Armor Tinting

By

Contrary to what Bioware had revealed last month, Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 5 has quite missed a mention of Black Emporium in newly released game notes on its website. However, the notes unveil that the fifth installment of Dragon Age: Inquisition contains a number of improvements to gameplay and stability, as well as some new features.

Black Emporium is at the forefront of upcoming features when a PC beta for Patch 5 was announced in February. As the website describes it, Black Emporium is a mysterious underground shop run by an immortal proprietor. Game players, known as Inquisitors, can find powerful artifacts and tools to aid their cause, purchase epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics.

The new feature will also employ Mirror of Transformation that will allow Inquisitors to change their voice and facial appearance. Patch 5 notes make no mention of armor tinting as well which was revealed at the beta's announcement.

At the time of feature announcement, other structures added were party storage at Skyhold Undercroft, new auto-attack key and custom hero biographies. Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 5 is considered as the biggest content update in history by the Canada-based developer.

The Patch 5 notes also mention bug fixes, improving archer Al, True Grit privilege to all party members and a "loot exploit." The update also enables PC players to toggle mouse look. However, Bioware warns that "this feature is still under development and does not act optimally under all conditions." The latest update also will give players the ability to adjust the size of subtitles.

Listed below are the other changes and additions for all systems.

  • Allows characters to take damage while using the Counterstrike ability
  • Enhanced abilities to function correctly with front armor rating
  • Stable Charging Bull ability so that AI-controlled characters no longer overshoot their target
  • Eliminates the initial barrier that spellbinders receive when spawned
  • Adds an option to control the font size of subtitles

  • Fixes an issue that causes certain operations to disappear from the war table without direct player interaction
  • Stabilizes a crash after use of a Tactician's Renewal amulet in Skyhold
  • Stabilizes a conversation where Leliana references being with the Warden to face the Archdemon when she was set to have died in the imported Dragon Age Keep world state
  • Stabilizes a case where movement audio was muted after a level transition
  • Stabilizes a case where music unintentionally played after a level transition
  • Stabilizes a case where the Quarry Quandry quest could be prevented from being completed
  • Improves stability
  • Stabilizes the issue where Qunari Inquisitors were able to equip the Inquisition Battlemage armor
  • Stabilizes an exploit where certain abilities could be used multiple times before the cooldown was started
  • Stabilizes an exploit with Explosive Shot where indirect hits were not causing the ability to cool down and reduce stamina
  • Stabilizes cases of the new-item icon appearing on old items after salvaging in multiplayer
