Just this year, a new spy drama series was born. Allegiance is said to be an American version of Israeli's The Gordin Cell.
As of the moment, Allegiance is being compared to another TV series, The Americans. The latter is from FX which is said to be gaining millions of fans. Will Allegiance be at par with it? Or will it just leave NBC worthless? We hope not. Its first episode was brutally dramatic. We hope it will sustain that kind of adrenalin rush for the rest of the episodes.

Based from one source, the show focuses on Alex. The main conflict is that Alex' will be assigned to stop a Russian scheme to destroy the economy. However, the Russians will contact Alex' parents, who are inactive spies, instructing them to stop their son. Obviously, Alex had no idea that his parents are spies. We need to watch out how this will be resolved? Can his parents keep their identity hidden while making sure that their son is safe? They say you can't serve two masters at the same time. Maybe it's about time that they bend the rules.
We can't assure you that Allegiance will be a crowd-favorite given that it's new to the scene. Plus, its direct competitor is still making news which makes it harder for the showrunners to top. So far, we are hooked up on what's going to happen in the next episode. That should be enough for now.
