Zac Efron, Seth Rogen Back for “Neighbors 2”, Shooting Set Summer Without Dave Franco's Return?

By

The mighty duo of Seth Rogen and Zac Efron has been granted another shot at the box office with Universal Studio's spinoff of the "Neighbors" film. With the first film's incredible return of $268 million worldwide, it landed on the top spot of the highest grossing films of 2014.

Point Grey Pictures will be producing the sequel together with the old crew. Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, the original screenplay writers of the first film will be back to pen the new story of this unlikely friendship.

Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake will be joining the writers to be the executive producers.

The production is set to shoot the movie starting this summer of 2015. Reprising their roles are Seth Rogen as Mac Radner, the new father and sweet husband of Kelly Radner (Rose Byrne). The upcoming film will pick up from where they left off, with the couple raising their young daughter Stella.

The couple thought that the war was over but it seems like it has just started as the vacant neighboring house will be occupied by a sorority house in the next film.

This is when Mac asks the help of the raunchy, hot college dropout Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron).

Details about the film is still vague and there has been no official report of what the film will feature in the story. But what the fans are actually wondering is will "Now You See Me"'s Dave Franco return to reprise his role as Pete, Teddy's best friend and partner in crime? The actor hasn't spoken about this yet. His recent project was "Unfinished Business" co-starring his long-time idol Vince Vaugh.
