Kanye West newest solo album is titled 'So Help Me God'. The album cover is reportedly a monastic symbol for the Virgin Mary.
On Saturday night (February 28), Kanye revealed his seventh official solo album. This is a follow-up to 2013's Yeezus. Via twitter, he announced the title of his project 'So Help Me God', and its cover album.
Speaking of cover album, it was inspired by the 13th Century monastic symbol for the Virgin Mary, Rolling Stone reported. The religious reference seems to be connected to the album title.
It was added that the "m" in the artwork could also be a reference to Roman numerals. It was previously reported by the MTV last Saturday that West was heavily inspired by lower case Roman numerals when he and Maxime Buchi designed his latest tattoos.
Meanwhile, the Kanye West newest album will also feature 'Wolves' with his collaboration with the Aussie singer Sia and fellow Chicago rapper Vic Mensa. It will also include the songs: 'All Day', 'FourFive Seconds' with pop collaboration alongside Rihanna and Paul McCartney, and the 'Only One' which was released in December.
The studio quality of 'All Day' was released this week by West. It can be remembered that he performed the track live at BRIT Awards alongside Allan Kingdom and Theophilus London, who are featured on the track along with McCartney.
Many would have thought that West would already release the whole album last Sunday, but in an interview on the radio show The Breakfast Club of Power 105.1, he said that the album was "Eight percent done," and the release date will be a surprise.
He said that the upcoming album will highlight "bars, songs, cookout-music that just feels good," he added, "My last album was a protest of music."
"This album's just embracing the music, embracing joy, and just being of service to the people," he told the source.
Now that title and album art were out, fans of Kanye West should wait a little while for the release date of his newest album.
