A member of a mobile software development community just revealed Thursday that Samsung is rolling out Sprint Galaxy Note 4 devices with the latest and all-new Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update.
The reader named imKorbi posted on a forum on XDA-Developers site that his Sprint Galaxy Note 4 is updated with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. The full post reads: "So as I was getting ready for school, reading XDA, I was going to give Checking System Update my last shot for Android L, expecting it not to be there...I'm on Android 5.0.1 on my note 4 right now guys. Sprint Note 4, that is. I hope you guys go it too. If you don't believe me, I can provide screenshots."
The ecstatic reader provided a screenshot link to Sprint's support page that indeed Google's latest mobile operating system update has been available.
As to scroll down for some comments, Sprint Galaxy Note 4 users in the forum attested that the latest update is indeed available. Sprint, however, has not released any statement regarding the good news neither they announced that the rollout is indeed true.
Android 5.0.1 Lollipop was first made available in the Philippines and Indonesia later in February for Google's budget smartphone Android One. In the US, Google's Nexus devices were first spotted to run the latest mobile OS, including Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 2012, Nexus 7 2013, Nexus 9 and Nexus 10.
Android 5.0.1 Lollipop features changes, additions, bug fixes and some of the best in Android update so far, including Material Design user-interface, Project Volta for increased battery life, enhanced lock screen notifications, new Recent Apps menu, the 64-bit ART compiler that launches quickly, and more.
Sprint Galaxy Note 4 users who did not receive the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop yet, go to Setting > About device > System update > Check now. Make sure that the handset is connected to a Wi-Fi and battery should be at least 50 percent charged up to prevent download inconvenience.
Sprint has made Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update available recently on HTC's One M8. LG's G3, and Samsung's Galaxy S5.
