PS4 out manoeuvres rivals at GDC 2015; Games and gadgets galore make their way to Sony’s turf

The Game Developers Conference 2015 held at San Francisco opened a box load of surprises, among those would be the games that would soon make their way to Sony's "next generation" game console, PS4. In the list of upcoming games to be released in PS4 would be the sequel of the once exclusive title under Xbox, "Titanfall."

"Titanfall 2" would also be released in PS4, based on a report from Gaming Bolt. However, Microsoft might use an "exclusivity delay" for the launch of the title in game consoles other than Xbox One. Video game, social media, digital media and electronics analyst of Wedbush Securities Michael Pachter agreed that this could be possible.

Pachter said that Respawn Entertainment's Vince Zampella would "have a new game on multiple platforms probably in three years." Pachter added that based on the previous performance of the game's developer, "Titanfall 2" might be ready during the holidays of 2017. Add to that, he said that while the game would be developed, a lot would be happening in the field of game console sales. That being said, Pachter concluded that with the continuing popularity of PS4 versus Xbox One, Respawn Entertainment would not definitely dismiss selling the game to gamers who bought the Sony game console.

Meanwhile, other anticipated games would also be hitting PS4 in the coming months. Among those games would be "Rock Band 4," which would be a collaboration between Harmonix and Mad Catz, that was reported to have "over 2,000 track support including those that have been launched in 2007," based on a report from International Business Times. The game would be scheduled for release in May.

Also, "Project Morpheus" had its share of the limelight in GDC 2015. However, SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida admitted that they still needed to tweak a few more details on the project before it gets officially released. He added that for now, they are focused at putting the gadget's features under demo tests.
