'Outlander' Mid-season premieres on Saturday, April 4 on Stars. It is teased to be darker for Claire and Jamie, facing against the villain Black Jack. Posters released this week show the fierce Claire pointing a knife to the villain Black Jack. Will she be able to fight the unstoppable villain to save Jamie?
New posters for the 'Outlander' second half of the season released this week, which excites more fans for its comeback. Base from the posters, fierce Claire pointing a knife towards someone, and behind her is her husband Jamie.
E!Online notes that these posters are actually "a reversal of the ones used to promote the first half of the season, in which Frank is reaching one hand out to a scared-looking Claire while Jamie stands behind her, urging her to stay in the past."
The new photos also hint that there will be an epic confrontation between Mr. and Mrs. Fraser and the villain Black Jack who clearly has no intention of stopping to create chaos against the newly weds.
"When Outlander returns for the second half of its hit first season, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) is no longer the lost woman out of her time that she was when she accidentally hurtled back in time. Though she still hasn't found a way home to her own time and her husband Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies), she's making a new home for herself in 17th century Scotland with her new husband, Highlander hunk Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan)" E! Online wrote.
Starz said in a statement via UPI that "The new image acts as a continuation and echo of the premiere key art, but with a dark and dangerous tone."
"It depicts heroine Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in a moment of confrontation rather than one of transition. She and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) have moved closer and are now a united front. As opposed to reaching back and trying to stay connected to the life and husband she left in 1945, this new image depicts Claire brandishing a dagger at Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies).A reverse shot of Black Jack, as seen from Claire and Jamie's perspective, shows the peril they face and what they are up against during the second half of this season."
Fans of the show are indeed not going to be disappointed, as the show's upcoming episodes will be darker, and fiercer, than the first half of Season 1. Heughan recently told Yahoo, "I know it has been a long time since the first half of the season, but I promise the final eight episodes will make up for Droughtlander. They are action-packed, dark, and very intense as Claire and Jamie move into the next level of their relationship. She and her modern ways tear his guts out, as he puts it. The honeymoon is very short."
