Bobbi Kristina Brown's aunt Leolah Brown publicly claimed that her niece's boyfriend Nick Gordon is under police investigation for Bobbi's attempted murder.
Bobbi's paternal aunt made the surprising allegations against Gordon on her Facebook page Saturday, March 7, saying their family has "strong evidence of foul play" linked to the January incident that has left Bobbi in a coma. The declaration came following reports that Bobbi's boyfriend was invited on a Dr Phil chat show, which is due to air March 11.
Leolah Brown said in the letter addressed to TV host-psychologist Phil McGraw: "With all due respect, Nick Gordon is under investigation for attempted murder of my niece Bobbi Kristina Brown. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit."
It will be recalled that the 22-year old daughter of Bobby Brown and late superstar Whitney Houston was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her Atlanta home on January 31. It was Gordon who found her and was the one administering CPR when rescuers arrived, according to MailOnline.
Since the incident there are other details that have surfaced. Some reports claimed that Bobbi Kristina was under the influence of drugs and was heavily drinking that morning she was found.
Leolah was apparently feeling aghast over Gordon's appearance on the Dr. Phil show. In one of her later Facebook rants she wrote: "Nick Gordon is very disrespectful and inconsiderate! Especially to my family. Moreover, he has done things to my niece that I never thought he had in him to do!"
Meanwhile, Nick Gordon has reportedly checked into rehab following what the show describes as an "intervention" by Dr. Phil. On the show, Nick's mother Michelle talked about her fears for her son's life, stating that "it hangs in the balance," while pleading for help.
During the episode, Dr. Phil talks about Nick's relationships with Bobbi Kristina and the late Whitney Houston, who unofficially "adopted" him in his younger years, said the Inquisitr. They also discuss his resulting problems with dependency, including considerable amounts of alcohol and drugs like Xanax.
As of this date, Bobby Kristina Brown is still in a coma and stays dependent on life support measures, including a ventilator and feeding tube.
