With only less than two months before the awaited release of The Avenger: Age of Ultron, the question in everybodys is: will it surpass its predecessor?
The Avengers: Age of Ultron will definitely be compared with Avengers 1 which recorded one of the biggest opening weekends ever with $207 million. And now, the question in everybody's mind is, will Avengers 2 be up to the challenge?
An astounding yes, says Bloomberg.
Bloomberg claimed that Walt Disney Co.'s new "Avengers" movie is slated to have the biggest feature-film debut of all time when it's released on May 1.
Boxoffice.com forecasted that Avengers: Age of Ultron will collect $217 million over its opening weekend in the U.S. and Canada. In 2012, the first instalment of The Avengers made $207 million and holds the best opening weekend ranking.
Boxoffice.com opening weekend forecast on is based on Facebook and Twitter posts. "On Twitter, the number and intensity of positive posts have been the strongest Boxoffice.com researchers have seen for any movie since they started monitoring the site."
The Avengers: Age Ultron will definitely chalk up the record breaking performance of Disney's Marvel Studios. Last year, Disney's movie unit raked in record profit with Frozen and with Marvel's two big hits Guardians Of The Galaxy and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
If that is not proof enough, the latest teaser trailer of Avengers 2 broke the record with a whopping 35 million views in its first 24 hours, according to Marvel and Deadline. The previous record-holder was the first teaser trailer for 'Avengers 2,' which collected 34.3 million views in its first day.
Since last year's sequel announcement , Disney's Marvel Studios has been inveigling movie-goers with sneak peeks from Avengers 2.
Avengers: Age of Ultron's brings back Tony Stark who Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye will be put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. The villainous Ultron surfaces and it is up to The Avengers to stop his terrible plans.
