'Battlefield Hardline' PS4, Xbox One, PC Release Won't be in HD: No Exciting Features on Gameplay?

By

Though issues of resolution disparity arising, Visceral Games will still continue releasing 'Battlefield Hardline' in PS4 and Xbox One. Yesterday, tweets about the new "outrun and gun" options were announced through the game's official Twitter account.

Reportedly, Visceral Games find troubles in getting the resolution needed for the current generation consoles since they have to get the required framerate of threshold for the shooting game. Currently, the games have 900p for PS4 and 720p for Xbox One.

Amid these disparity issues, the game developer will still continue releasing the game in these consoles though there are uncertainties whether these will be able to manage optimal gaming experience with these graphics.

Reviews about the release were out. One mentioned about the poor metric for the game graphics to make the entire game look good with its high resolution. However, for the first time gamers, they won't be able to notice the issues [through the blind tests] for the game.

In relation to the resolution issue for the game, it was also stated that the main reason why would a user purchase a PS4 is because of its promising quality of game resolution. Thus, developers should consider this part as it would affect the sales in the future.

But there were hints that perhaps Visceral has made the game in this resolution is because of the smaller maps to include in the gameplay. Another reason might be there will be lesser players to accommodate.

With the PC, Mike Glosecki of Gameplay Systems Producer for Battlefield Hardline, said that in the PC platform, the graphics were likable since it has 1920x1080 and beyond. Therefore, it can go higher than an HD-quality resolution.

He said, "The PC allows you to customise the experience to your liking. You can play at much higher resolutions, 1920x1080 and beyond up to capabilities of your video card. You can also use much higher graphic settings on PC - which gives you the best texture filtering, texture quality and anti-aliasing in addition to other benefits."

In terms of the gameplay, there were no features to feel excited about since the game developer, as revealed, has just added some few additions such as the cops and robbers DLC. But the rest would be the same from the previous series.

Yesterday, through the game's official Twitter account, they have announced about new "outrun and gun" options included in the Hardline. They are the RT Machine Gun and the FAV Airboat Driver's Seat.

They announced," Outrun and gun. What would you jump on? RT Machine Gun, FAV Airboat Driver's Seat."

Battlefield: Hardline will be released in PS4 and Xbox One with 900p/720p respectively running 60fps.
