By

Radiohead will be back this year with a new album as the group records the follow up to their 2011 "The King of Limbs" album. Jonny Greenwood gave several details in their recording process and the approach that they used as well as the solo project that he is pursuing in India.

Jonny Greenwood, the enigmatic guitarist of Radiohead, revealed in his latest interview that they have changed their method in recording Radiohead's new album. The 9th album of the band is the follow up to their 2011 album, "The King of Limbs". The group has been recording in the past couple of months and they have been progressing really well.

Greenwood said that "We've done a couple of months of recording, and it has gone really well. We haven't listened to anything back yet, so at the moment we're all very happy. Now, I guess we're going to go and listen to what we've done and see if we were right to be so happy. But we left it at a good place when we last stopped."

The guitarist also added that Radiohead is trying a new method this time adding that "We're kind of limiting ourselves; working in limits. So we'll see what happens. It's like we're trying to use very old and very new technology together to see what happens."

In related news, Jonny Greenwood is working with an Israeli composer and several musicians in India. They have been camping out at Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur while recording an album. He explained that it is an amazing experience to record with Indian musicians since "They have such a different energy and enthusiasm for music," the guitarist continued that "It's just, it's part of life here, it feels, rather than just being an occupation. It's different; there's music everywhere."

Radiohead haven't officially announced a release date for their new album but they are currently focusing their work in the recording process. Fans can expect the group to release them this year and they may try to self-distribute their latest album just like what they did in their last two albums, "In Rainbows" and "King of Limbs".
