Charlie Hunnam of the "Sons of Anarchy" fame was seen for the first time after his hit FX TV series wrapped up in December - this time while working on his new project, Guy Ritchie's "Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur," where he plays the titular character.

The 46-year-old director delighted fans of the English actor on March 10, Tuesday after tweeting a photo showing the two on the set, which he simply captioned, "First day on KORT."

The sneak peek picture showed the director bundled up in a jacket and beanie and Hunnam wearing a large, heavy jacket with a bag on his side. The "Pacific Rim" star was also sporting a thick beard and had his blonde locks slicked back. The two were photographed standing side by side with the soft rays of the morning sun falling upon them and the crew working behind them.

Hunnam portrays King Arthur in this epic adventure film series by Warner Bros. The "Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur" is the first of the six planned installments and is scheduled to be released on July 22, 2016, according to MailOnline.

This is the official synopsis of the movie, which has been released recently:

"The bold new story introduces a streetwise young Arthur who runs the back alleys of Londonium with his gang, unaware of the life he was born for until he grasps hold of the sword Excalibur-and with it, his future. Instantly challenged by the power of Excalibur, Arthur is forced to make some hard choices. Throwing in with the Resistance and a mysterious young woman named Guinevere, he must learn to master the sword, face down his demons and unite the people to defeat the tyrant Vortigern, who stole his crown and murdered his parents, and become King."

Joining Charlie Hunnam in the cast include Astrid Berges-Frisbey as Guinevere, Eric Bana as Arthur's father Uther Pendragon, Jude Law and Djimon Hounsou.
