After several years of waiting, the much awaited sequel of the well-loved comedy movie Zoolander will be released on cinemas this coming February 12, 2012. The 2001 movie has been rumored to be releasing a sequel last 2008 but it took almost a decade before a sequel finally materialized.
Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller are definitely returning with a bang after they recently showcased their fashion modelling moves in the recently concluded Valentino Show in Paris. The two gamely went onstage and showed their iconic "blue steel" moves to mark the return of the much awaited "Zoolander 2" movie.
The plot of the second installment of the movie will run along the theme fashion and both lead stars will be exploring their fashion model personality in the movie. Ben Stiller shared in a MTV interview that his character as well as that of Wilson will be reprising their old careers as models.
"In the fashion world, if you go away for a year, it's changed - it just happens so quickly. I think the idea in the beginning of the movie is that its 10 years later, and Derek and Hansel are literally forgotten."
By the looks of it the duo are definitely hilariously working their way for attention and fame once more as their claim their rightful spot in the movie.
Several former lead stars of the first installment of the movie will be joining them once again in the sequel. Will Ferrell who plays the eccentric Mugatu will be returning for 2016. Christine Taylor and Penelope Cruz are also slated to join he casts of "Zoolander 2." Matilde Jeffries, Ben Stillers wife in real life will also reprise her role as a journalist in the movie.
The iconic movie is set to return on February 12, 2016 and will go up against 20th Century Fox's Deadpool.
