A “cursed” wedding dress will go up in flames and progress will be made in unmasking Abby’s attacker, this week on "The Young and The Restless." In addition, expect to see Michael sink further into depression even as his cancer treatment options are actually looking up.
Spoilers have it that a nightmare that left Avery (Jessica Collins) tossing and turning as she lay on the sofa will make her decide to dispose of the wedding dress that she wore to a wedding that ended up as a failed marriage. The same spoilers say that she will wake up from that bad dream screaming, “I can’t do it!” Avery will then go to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and request that she take the unwelcome item off her hands for good. She will further explain that it was the same dress she wore when she took her vows with Joe. Phyllis will then resolve to burn the supposedly cursed wedding dress. As the dress is consumed by flames, Phyllis will loudly say, “to the future!”
Also on this week's "The Young and the Restless", Michael’s (Christian LeBlanc) morale will be headed for an all-time low over his cancer diagnosis. While he unloads his burdens to Lauren (Tracey Bregman), she will explain to him that his prognosis is actually looking up and his treatment options are quite positive. This, apparently, won’t be enough to keep him from further sinking into depression. Michael begins to wonder what will happen if Lauren outlived him. She will immediately assure him that she cannot love anyone else the same way.
Meanwhile, doubts will be raised over the real motive behind the attack on Abby (Mellissa Ordway) at the park. She will tell police and her mother that it was a mugging, but signs to the contrary will begin to emerge. The investigator will note that her purse was curiously not taken by the supposed mugger. During the investigation, Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan) will show up, and later he will suggest that this may all be connected somehow to the murder of Austin. Noah (Robert Adamson), however, will grow suspicious of Kyle.
