DC is a lot busier this year as they got a handful of TV series lined up like A.K.A Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Supergirl, and other projects also in the works with Fox like spinoff series of Firestorm and the Atom from The Flash and Arrow and Lucifer. The Supergirl TV with Warner Bros is set to air in the fall of 2015, the production released its first and official images of its main cast, Melissa Benoist in full costume. Benoist is a "Glee" alumna.
The costume is in darker colors that keep motif began with Henry Cavill's Man of Steel film in 2013, Benoist's Supergirl costume has a top that seems to be tightly-woven mesh material, with dark long sleeves, short-pleated miniskirt complementing the pattern of the top, classic superhero cape and of course, thigh-high leather boots. The cape, skirt and boots blend with the dark red hue with "S" logo embossed on her chest.
Supergirl and A.K.A Jessica Jones have been constantly adding more casts as they pruse production and fans have already seen Melissa in her costume for the new superhero show in CBS. Jessica Jones and Krysten Ritter wont have the same uniform, since Ritter plays the ex superheroines who gave up her life in capes and tights to be a private detective, although, there's always the probability of flashbacks.
The 26 year-old Benoist will start her role as Kara Zor-El, the heroine seeks refuge after she escapes Krypton's destruction, she went incognito on Earth with the name of Kara Danvers before deciding to accept her powers after years of keeping her true identity.
CBS earlier revealed that the 1990s Lois and Clark's Superman, Dean Cain and the 1984 Supergirl, Helen Slater will have a cameo roles on the series. On the other hand, Warner Bros, has yet to say which character they are playing.
