The world of smartphone looks like in a race. After the relatively new release of Apple's iPhone 6, Samsung's Galaxy 6S and HTC's One M9 for release this March 16 - HTC is rumoured to showcase another smartphone superiority: HTC E9.
The Taiwanese company just confirmed that HTC M9 will be available by March 16 and comes in two versions; one in 32 GB for $693 and the 64 GB at $756. M9 features Android Lollipop 5.0 and a Snapdragon octa-core processor with 1080p resolution.
On the other hand, the rumoured HTC E9 specs and images that are recently leaked reveal a smartphone slimmer and more powerful than HTC's flagship, H9. This speculation started when TENAA, a Chinese telecommunications regulators company posts an image labelled as E9 and further gives key details and features of the product.
E9 appears to be thinner, slimmer and larger with better resolution than M9, comments Engadget. TENAA further metions E9's dimensions to be 6.1 x 3 x 0.3 inches with a 5.5 inches screen graced with a Quad HD 2,560x1,440 resolution. Moreover, E9 rumors to run at octa-core processor, switching from H9's Snapdragon to MediaTek's MT6795 running at 2.0GHz.
Other details revealed by the Chinese site are E9's 2,800mAh battery, 3GB of RAM, 32GB memory with MicroSD support and a 20-megapixel rear camera.
The show of the new phone sparks questions behind the unverified 'introduction" of a new model just a few days before the company's flagship smartphone is released in the market. Tech geeks note that it could be because of the media reception of HTC One M9. M9 appears almost like its predecessor that makes is look like a concoction of M7 and M8's best features.
As for the smartphone's body, no rumors are concretely unveiled, but if we base it from HTC's trend, E9 will most likely be plastic-cased. Upleasks forecasts E9 hit the market at late March this year.
