The CW recently announced that the dramedy series Hart of Dixie will not be airing a new episode for this week. The Hart of Dixie Season 4 episode entitled "End of Days" will air on March 20 instead as Hart of Dixie is on hiatus.
The Hart of Dixie Season 4 episode will take viewers into the dreams of Annabeth Nass and, as the title suggests probably spell the end of Bluebell. The official synopsis of the episode says that the founder of Bluebell Cyrus Lavinius Jeremiah Jones will pay Nass a visit in her dreams and warn her about the five omens that will predict the fall of Bluebell.
As fans of the series are worried that "End of Days" will mean the end of the series, the CW still has to comment on the show's fate. The network had earlier announced the renewal of its shows, including 'Reign' and 'Beauty and the Beast'. Hart of Dixie was notably absent from the list.
Even show producer Leila Gerstein is open to the idea that the series won't be seeing a fifth season. "We have left doors open if there is a Season 5," Gerstein stated. "And if there isn't a Season 5, I feel that this season is a celebration. I know that people will be very sad, but story-wise there will be enough conclusion that people won't feel like they're left hanging."
Does this mean that the series will end in "End of Days"? While fans are still awaiting a confirmation from The CW, fans could only speculate that the series will probably be doomed due to a decline in ratings. Still, there are those who are hopeful that the series might get a second chance.
