Supermodel Kate Upton and Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander have been asked countless of times on whether they have plans on tying the knot anytime soon, but it seems that the two are still trying to figure that out themselves.
The two have been on marriage jitters since January, when news about 'People's' 2014 Sexiest Woman Upton's rejection to Verlander's proposal on New Year's Eve came out on an unreliable tabloid. The claim was exclusively debunked by Gossip Cop, which was told by Upton through a publicist that the story was "completely not true." Moreover, Upton posted an Instagram photo of a dinner plate with the words "Marry Me?" written in ketchup that made it seem like the baseball star proposed to her. According to Larry Brown Sports, the photo caused a frenzy among the couple's fans, but Upton herself confirmed that the photo was a joke, causing an uproar among those who took it seriously. Upton and Verlander are confirmed to be not engaged, but all these have caused confusion among friends and fans of the stars, with the question of the two ever getting married not closer to being answered.
Upton and Verlander met while shooting a commercial for MLB 2K12 in 2012 and have been dating since then. They have broken up and made up a few times, but have continued to make public appearances together, including at Verlander's games. Their on-and-off relationship had faced hot seat controversies ever since, including the photo scandal where alleged nudes of them were leaked in the internet. According to E!, they have recently hosted the Grand Slam Adoption, an event to promote dog adoption, before attending Verlander's training game during the Washington Nationals, both events at the Space Coast Stadium in Florida.
Upton and Verlander have been through a lot during the course of their three-year relationship that it is inevitable that everyone is expecting them to seal the deal. Unfortunately, the two have kept mum on the subject and have not announced anything regarding an engagement, even more so a wedding.
