The "Expendables" franchise is one of the most watched and supported action movies of all times. What else can you expect from an all-star movie? The movie is about to get even more stellar as Manny Pacquiao joins the rosters of legendary action stars in the fourth installment of the movie, "Expendables 4."
The boxing champ will join Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham and most probably even Justin Bieber and Hulk Hogan in the movie. Rumors of Pacquiao skipping his training to be able to participate in the film are now debunked after reports of a late May 2015 filming of the movie is Bulgaria is revealed to the public.
Meanwhile, a TV series spin-off is already being rumored to be produced after the movie. Fox, the mind behinds popular TV series Empire, American Idol, Glee, Gotham and Bones are already bringing together some of the best loved action stars, both male and female, to create a new band of brotherhood to take on a new kind of adventure, this time on the television screens. The action-drama series will go under the title of "The Expendables TV."
According to deadline via Slashfilm.com, "The Expendables 4" has already received a script order from Fox. The TV series may have to wait for a year or two before they can start working on filming of the series. As for the movie, the plot will basically center on a dangerous mission to stop a group of terrorist rumored to be played by the legendary WWE superstar Hulk Hogan.
Sylvester Stallone is the mind behind these successful movies and has starred in all three of them. The idea of a TV series spin-off adapted from the movie has been floating around for a few years but Fox's involvement is one of the biggest developments in the realization of this TV series.
Lionsgate on the other hand is looking forward for the "Expendables 4" to be released on cinemas by May 2016, another sequel "Expendables 5" around 2018 and an all-female driven spin-off titled "The Expendebelles."
