The Young and The Restless this week reveals more on the mystery behind Christine's accident. The main players in the case, Nikki and Neil, have their own ways of dealing with this tragedy on how to put an end to this drama. Nikki continues to hide the truth and influences Neil from speaking up; but Neil finally resolves by revealing the truth.
Although the spotlight is on Nikki and Neil, several names surfaces as investigation deepen. For one, Hilary confines to Devon and she confesses that she drove Neil to drinking at the night of the accident. She highlights she had a plan but to cause the accident was not part of it. She mentions to ignite a fight between Nikki and Neil was all she wanted and did not expect that the two will be involved in a graver scenario that cause the death of Christine's baby.
On the other hand, Nikki consults her lawyer and convinces the latter to talk with the car accident witnesses. However, Victor tells her that she cannot continue covering the truth and she may need to come up with a more realistic story. Based from the evidence, it seems that the evidence the police gathered points to both her and Neil as the perpetrator.
While Nikki stays firm to shun the investigation and proceeds with her story, Neil on the other hand drowns himself in alcohol from so much guilt. In one occasion, Nikki finds him in a bar and comforts him saying she will protect him. Nevertheless, Neil does not want any protection. Does this mean he will finally harbor enough courage to go to the police and reveal the truth?
On the other hand, Phyllis gets herself in big-time trouble. She gets hurt with a champagne bottle by Kelly as she retaliates with Phyllis' threats of reporting Kelly for jumping bail. She immediately calls Victor about the accident. Initially Victor refuses to help her but eventually gives in but suggests this cover-up does come cheaply.
