Do you remove the clutter in your phone manually? It's very useful but time-consuming, isn't it? Mac apps offer a simple and faster alternative through PhoneExpander.
Developed by Nice Mohawk, the PhoneExpander makes the process of clearing storage space in your phone easier and hassle-free. The app provides tools for removing temporary files, deleting unwanted apps as well as taking a backup and removing photos and videos from your iPhone. The app also retrieves 'Other' Storage section. All these you can do in just a few minutes.
To clean temporary files, or cache files stored locally by the apps for faster launching, click on the Temporary Files button. The list of apps will be displayed, along with storage space occupied by temporary files and the total storage space that can be freed up if these files are deleted. Note that the default setting marks all the temporary files for faster clearing. Simply unmark the files that you don't want to delete. Cleaning up to 2GB storage space on iPhone 6 Plus can take 2-3 minutes.
The PhoneExpander also makes removing unwanted apps, along with related data that is not stored in iCloud, easier. To do this, click on the Remove Apps button and click on the box next to the app/s that you want to delete. Then click on the remove button. It is faster to do this task via this app because there's no confirmation dialogue box for each app that pops up every time, like when manually doing it in your device.
iOS phone users that store a lot of video and photo files in their phones can remove it from their device and store backup copies in the PhoneExpander app. To do this, click on Clear Photo button. Select the appropriate button to backup and remove photos. The PhoneExpander will make a folder on your desktop.
As a Mac App, the PhoneExpander allows iPhone and iPad users clear up their devices of rarely used files and apps right at the comfort of their desktop interface. It will also clear music files when it comes out in the market. That time it will come with a fee.
