‘Supergirl’ Spoilers, Cast Update: Jeremy Jordan joins, portrays new interpretation of Winn Schott? Or continue as Toyman?

By

CBS is still in the process of scouting actors to fill in some roles for their upcoming TV series 'Supergirl'. Just recently, 'Smash' alum Jeremy Jordan joins the lineup.

The multitalented actor has signed on to play as Supergirl's Winslow "Winn" Schott, a tech-savvy colleague of Kara's, reported by TV Line.

According to CBS' official character description, Winn is a "superstar IT whiz" who works alongside Kara at CatCo. But to those who are familiar with DC Comics, Winn Schott is an only alias used by the villainous Toyman, who makes use of toy-inspired gadgets to create chaos and commit crimes.

However, it's uncertain if he will become Toyman at some point, or if this is an entirely new interpretation of the Winn Schott character. But for sure, we can expect that Jeremy Jordan will portray his role very well. Jordan is a very multi-talented actor. He played great parts in various Broadway shows under his belt alongside appearances in shows such as 'Law & Order: SVU' and 'Elementary'.

Jordan joins a cast that includes 'Necessary Roughness' star Mehcad Brooks, 'Grey's Anatomy' actress Chyler Leigh, 'Ally McBeal' alum Calista Flockhart, and 'Nashville' star Laura Benanti. They will be joining with DC Universe veterans Dean Cain and Helen Slater, who have previously portrayed Superman and Supergirl, correspondingly.

Previously, Melissa Benoist, who is playing the main role 'Supergirl', has seen in her superhero costume for the first time.

As of this moment, many are excited about the direction of this series. It is impossible not to, knowing the fact that the show has executive producers Ali Adler and Greg Berlanti on board. It was also told that Andrew Kreisberg of "Arrow" and "The Flash" has also signed on, so there will be a lot of superhero clout to expect in this show.

Let us know your predictions below regarding Jeremy Jordan's role in the upcoming TV series 'Supergirl'.
