The Leftover Season 2 Renewal has still left many fans hanging. While there are no official announcements as of yet as to whether or not HBO will be giving The Leftovers its much deserved The Leftovers Season 2, there are many questions many fans of the show hope will be addressed come The Leftovers Season 2.
One of the nagging questions many The Leftovers fans hope the upcoming season will address is the issue on The Departure. There have been suggestions that the new season will be set in an entirely different setting. Perhaps the Garvey family will be taken to a much safer location post-Departure. Given the opportunity behind the post-Departure scenario, writers will be sure to go wild with possibilities for new storylines.
The power of cults has also been adressed towards the end of the first season, would this also be addressed in The Leftovers Season 2? The Garveys would certainly need some good old family bonding time.
Ratings for The Leftovers were not particularly high. The show has barely reached the2 million marked, and has reportedly raked in a measly 1.5 million viewers for the season finale. HBO is standing by its loyalties to the show, and is even sticking to the strategy of timing the next season to be backed up by Game of Thrones and True Detective. An overall strong tactic for the show's future.
The Leftovers Season 2 is already shaping up to be an exciting season indeed, Pieces of the puzzle still need to be solved and the new season will address those mysteries. As for the returning cast, it has already been addressed that much of the Garvey family and Justin Theroux will be returning for the new season.
