Fans of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will soon be able to get their hands on new content coming straight from the latest update announced for the game.
Both Activision and Sledgehammer Games announced on Wednesday that the new downloadable content for the game, named "Ascendance," will be released on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One on March 31. "Ascendance" will be available on the PC, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4 one month later.
Four new maps are set to be added to the game via the downloadable content, according to Coming Soon. "Chop Shop" puts gamers inside a vast black market complex where action awaits at every turn.
"Climate" features a circular map set inside a controlled natural environment resembling a tropical paradise. "Perplex" is a map set inside an apartment complex in Sydney where players can choose to snipe opponents from higher ground or mix it up in close quarters.
"Site 244" provides the players with a setting made up of Mt. Rushmore and the remains of an expansive alien spacecraft. New weapons in the form of the OHM directed energy light machine gun/shotgun hybrid as well as a variant of the OHM Werewolf are also available in the new package, according to Gamespot.
Also included in the list of new content found in "Ascendance" is the next chapter for "Exo Zombies Mode." The new chapter features the returns of Jon Bernthal, John Malkovich, Rose McGowan, and Bill Paxton in the mode's storyline. "Burgertown" will also make a return in the new chapter, according to IGN.
"Ascendance" is already a part of the $50 "Advanced Warfare" DLC pass or it can be purchased separately for $15. No new footage for "Ascendance" has been released thus far.
With "Ascendance" now set to be released, players can still look forward to two more downloadble content packages named "Reckoning" and "Supremacy" due to be launched later in 2015.
