Three new dlc packs bring new elements to 'Helldivers': Find out how they change the game

Three recently released downloadable content packages for "Helldivers" continue to add more to the action-packed environment of the game.

The three packages were released on March 18 in North America and then a day later in Europe, according to IGN.

The "Commando" pack gives players a new uniform, complete with armor, helmet, and a cape. The pack also contains two new weapons, with the first one known as the "SMG -34 Ninja," a silenced submachine gun featuring good accuracy but hampered by a short reach, according to the Official Playstation blog. Also in the pack is the "MLS-4X Commando," a multiple missile launcher system equipped with four barrels. It can also be upgraded to have anti-tank features.

Players who have the "Defender" pack will also receive a uniform set of the same name, complete with armor, helmet, and cape. The pack similarly adds two new weapons, with the first being the "CR-9 Suppressor," a semi-automatic rifle with small frag grenades as ammunition. Also found in the pack is the "AD-334 Guard Dog," a drone system capable of being carried as a backpack which is itself equipped with a submachine gun.

Last of the three is the "Support" pack, and it also provides players with a new uniform they can use in-game. The first gun from this pack is known as the "LAS-16 Sickle," and it is a laser-based carbine designed to more closely imitate the actions of a regular assault rifle. The last piece of equipment found in the pack is the "AD-289 Angel," a backpack drone system designed to heal the player and other friendly targets nearby.

Players can choose to buy one of the three packs for $2.99 or purchase the "Helldivers" Add-on Bundle for the price of $5.99, according to Games Radar.

Players looking for more content can also purchase the limited edition of "Helldivers" before April 28 to receive the "Ranger" pack.
