Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens Wedding set in High School Musical 4? Will the Ex-Couple Exhibit the same Chemistry like before?

The hit Disney musical movie series, "High School Musical" turns nine this year. It's third installment premiered on theaters in 2008 which is seven years ago-- a gap long enough for fans to miss the show and hope to see a movie sequel.

Their wish may have been granted, if only the rumor about the "High School Musical 4" entitled "The Wedding" weren't a hoax. Unfortunately, it was. But fans may continue wishing especially since the film series' lead character Zac Efron expressed that he is open to a fourth installment of the "High School Musical" movie franchise.

To quote Zac's words in a 2013 interview: "I can't say for sure if it will happen but deep down in my heart, I would jump at the chance." He then went on to say that he was "pretty sure [the rest of the cast] would feel the exact same way."

If Disney would indeed film a sequel to the "High School Musical 3", would Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, who played Troy and Gabriella's characters, still have the same chemistry that they used to exhibit when they were together?

"High School Musical" co-star Monique Coleman (Taylor McKessie) and Corbin Bleu also expressed the same feeling for a "High School Musical" spin-off. Coleman tweeted, "How cool would it be if the cast of #HSM came together for a reunion? Like real HS. It's almost been 5 years!" Corbin Bleu also expressed that he's in for a spin-off.

While Vanessa has not said anything yet about what she feels about "High School Musical 4", she and the rest of the film's casts have remained friends and continue to see each other every now and then.

Last year Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, and Monique Coleman were reunited with the film's director Kenny Ortega, choreographer Chucky Klapow, and one lucky fan. Zac wasn't able to attend the Friday night out because he was filming the movie We Are Your Friends at that time.
