No Man's Sky PS4, Xbox One, PC Release Update: No Xbox One for gameplay? Microsoft boss explains why Xbox-exclusive might not be possible

By

Anticipated to release this year, No Man's Sky may not be released in Xbox One platform. Microsoft made it no big deal since they have other exclusives - a strong lineup - waiting on their list. Xbox officials acknowledged the procedurally generated space exploration title and saw no problem if pursued as PS4 exclusive.

Reportedly, ID@Xbox European head Agostino Simonetta said in a discussion that Hello Games' No Man's Sky seemed to be an immense potential. Though they have acknowledged it, they remained subtle and relaxed if the game will be pushed merely for PS4. He added that there is really an existing evolving effort for Microsoft's home console, as constant as it seems.

When asked about regretting missing out the anticipated indie title, he cited, "Personally, no. We have some exclusives that other platforms don't. Over 1,000 developers have Xbox kit in their office today with over 100 games in development. My personal answer is that we have a very strong lineup."

He was referring to his teammates when they're asked about "regrets missing out," as he spoke very candidly for the PS4-exclusive game.

Though the European boss revealed that it wouldn't be a big loss if they won't have No Man's Sky as an Xbox exclusive, however, they're still open for chances to have the indie game if Sony will not take as a PlayStation timed-exclusive.

Simonetta said, "Correct. Unless a title can never come to Xbox, because a developer has signed a publishing deal with someone else, any title can come to ID@Xbox."

He added that they have repeatedly asked the same question, so he straightforwardly cited in addition to what he said, "We always get this question. The answer is pretty straightforward - we do understand that developers sometimes need to decide which platform to take first."

What Simonetta tries to point is that everything boils down to a specific agreement whether it would be on Microsoft's Xbox console of with Sony's PlayStation, depending upon the final decision of Hello Games.

If it will be finalized, and if Hello Games would choose them, they can figure out what will be the best approach to make it a successful title. With that, they can both work together the best as they can, by saying, "There are no specific limitations on titles that have launched on other platforms coming to Xbox."

NASA-inspired indie game, No Man's Sky, rumoured to release this summer 2015, will arrive for PS4 and PC platforms, through remained open for possibility to have Xbox One console to come out.
