Harley Quinn Story DLC Park Gets Bat Wielding Batman: Arkham Knight Entrance

By

The baseball bat wielding, demented Joker side-kick, Harley Quinn will get a crazy entrance on Arkham Knight's release this June 23 for the XBO, PS4 and PC. The Batman villain first appeared in Batman: the animated series way back in 1992 and since became part of Batman lore. Batman: Arkham Knight is the first title of the Arkham series that will hit next generation consoles this year.

After the announcement of Rocksteady that the release of Batman: Arkham Knight will be delayed, fans will have to wait a bit more to finally play Dr. J's insane sidekick for the first time. Rocksteady said on IGN via twitter that the game will not be released on June 2 on the 23rd and revealed that it was already eight months delayed.

The DLC revealed fans that the Harley Quinn story will revolve in her attempted rescue and eventual, baseball bat demolition of Bludhaven Police station to save her friend, Poison Ivy. The story will show Harley's demented mind and feature a bat-smashing 'bash-capade' inside a police department.

Batman: Arkham Knight story is set one year after Arkham city and revolves on Wayne's attempt to subdue the Scarecrow along with Two-face, Riddler, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and Harley. The game will showcase a string of new weapons and debuts the Batmobile as a drivable vehicle. The scale of Arkham Knight is said to be larger than that of Batman: Arkham city adding a sense of vast openness of its environment. However, having the chance to play Harley Quinn for the first time equally excites gamers as she is one of the most interesting characters in the series.

The Batman franchise had phenomenal success in every form of media it was released. The public first caught glimpse of the cape crusader in 1939 and became popular ever since. The superhero in time got a TV series, a string of movie titles and a video game franchise. With Batman: Arkham Knight, gamers will again have the chance to play the cape crusader in a much darker theme than before. Set for release on June 23, fans hope that this time around, it will be a sure date with the Bat.
