'GTA Online' Update: The pros and cons of the world as told by Rockstar Games

By

"Grand Theft Auto Online" has brought a whole new world of complexity and excitement to faithful fans of the franchise, but even the latest installment cannot give everything to the people.

Starting with what the game does bring to the people, there is certainly a lot to list and look forward to for fans. The element of cooperative gameplay in the form of being able to team up with friends has been absent in the flagship titles of the franchise in the past, so the addition of it to the game opens up a world of new experiences to be had.

Especially with the new co-op heists available in the game, players are now able to tackle complicated missions together with their friends ranging from bank robberies to infiltrating highly-secured aircraft carriers belonging to the military, according to Kotaku.

The game also allows players to create their own customized avatars to use as they navigate the vast world of "Grand Theft Auto V." The MMO component of the game is also experienced when it comes to the customized characters increasing in level and acquiring new skills and weapons as they grow stronger.

Players can even engage in matches with fellow inhabitants of the virtual world.

The game does not have everything however, as the aircraft carrier in one of the title's signature missions is not available in free mode, hinting at some limitations existing within the game, according to VG247.

Another issue concerning the game, and perhaps the most glaring one, is the amount of combined loading times players have to go through. While loading times are present in almost any game, excessive ones are always bothersome.

The game is also still populated with bugs. Many of the issues plaguing the game were addressed in a previous patch, according to Attack of the Fanboy, but there are still some that persist within the virtual world.

In the end, the mix of the good and bad can tilt one way depending on the player, and that determines how invested they will be in moving forward with the game.
