The iPhone 6S which is expected to have a September release date, alongside with iOS 9 and iPod Touch 6th Gen, will also have Force Touch Feature?
Recent reports point at the possibility that Apple will include the Force Touch feature to its next generation of iPhones. This is after Apple has updated its 13-inch MacBook Pro with retina Display with the Force Touch as one of the notable updates. It could also be available in rose gold, in addition to gold, silver, and space gray. It might be waterproof, too, one feature that Samsung ditched from its 2015 flagship phones, much to the dismay of its supporters.
The iPhone 6S could have a display that wraps around the edges of the smartphone like that in the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. This, according to MacWorld UK is "inspired by an official Apple patent, which describes sidewall displays that extend onto the sides of the iPhone." This design is said to feature interactive or touch-sensitive portions that allow access to the slide-to-unlock feature, caller ID, system controls, and more.
The September launching of the iPhone 6S is still unconfirmed but the timeline makes sense, especially that the final release of the iOS 9 - same processors rumored to arrive on the device - also falls on the same month. The iOS 9 will be released first as beta for testing and feedback, and once it's polished after two beta releases, it will be seen running on Apple's 2015 devices. Older devices will be updated too immediately after.
Apple has never made updating devices cool until it comes out with the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Force feature. It seems to know now which device deserves to be updated and how to do it well. This pattern could also be applied to the iPod Touch 6th Gen which Apple is very quiet about.
Initial speculations said that the next iPod will have iPhone-like features particularly those found in the iPhone 6. We can't really blame Apple if it wants to bring the iPhone features to its upcoming devices that need boosts but are highly-anticipated like the iPod Touch 6th Gen. Hence, iPhone 6 features like Apple Pay, Siri, and Retina Display could possibly arrive in the next iPod device. It may even have the iOS 9 for its processors. If that happens, it will pose a huge gap between the previous iGiant's music player and the upcoming one.
