Since its 2012 release, PlanetSide 2 reached success with its PC platform. Avid fans enjoyed the entire game while having feeling of adrenaline rush. Thus, the game developer decided to have it in PS4. Just some hours ago, the closed beta testing commenced on March 25, Wednesday in Europe. However, game developer said, when it comes to gameplay, there is not that much difference playing it either in PC and PS4.
The European closed beta sign-ups were officially closed as it begins its testing by March 25, Wednesday, for PS4 plaform. According to some reports, users can find it more interesting, which is similar to the PC version of the game with its MMO first-person shooter gameplay.
The said beta testing is set to provide game developers the idea to the performance of the game [to its capacity] in its new platform in terms of its servers, and other various aspects which needed to checked before it will be fully furnished ready for release.
"We can't wait for you guys to get your hands on the game and I'm happy to announce that our European closed beta testing will be starting on 25th March 2015!" Daybreak Game Company, game developer, mentioned in their statement in PlayStation blog.
They also added some itty-bitty information about the PlanetSide 2 for the sake of those who haven't familiarized the game per se. "PlanetSide 2 is a revolutionary, massive scale, first-person shooter where soldiers battle as one in strategic, targeted missions against enemy empires in an all-out planetary war."
In order to achieve the main goal of the game - to win, of course - the players should practice strategic teamwork as well as a quick trigger finger to survive the massive everyday conflicts. With its sophisticated tools, they cited that players need to have the superiority and strategies both within and outside the gaming environment. Thus, it effectively creates adrenaline rush.
Therefore, this type of gameplay was already enjoyed in PC platform, so, it would invite much more players to enjoy the game hype with its upcoming PS4 console. Game developer assured gamers that they will have the same experience for the new console from the original PC version release.
"There will not be any significant changes to the core gameplay mechanics and the PS4 version of PlanetSide 2 will still retain all the features that make the game unique. The biggest difference players will see will be in the user interface, which will be customized to work seamlessly with a console controller. Those differences will not affect the core gameplay mechanics. Lastly, all content currently available on the PC version may not be immediately available on the PS4 version," game developer said in their official website.
