Notwithstanding another failed marriage, Mariah Carey is uperturbed. Her marriage to rapper-tv host actor/rapper/TV host Nick may have crumbled, but her career continues to go full throttle. The pop diva, who turned 45 this March, has concerts lined up at Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas. She's also working on new material for a possible Christmas album. All these point to the fact that you just can't put a gifted lady down.
Mariah's recent album reflected much of what had transpired in her life. The sultry singer's life has been rocked with intrigues. Even her stint as an American Idol judge, which paid her a hefty sum, was marred by verbal tussle with Nicki Minaj. It's the heartbreak, female empowerment
In the home front, Mariah and Nick have been blessed with twins named Monroe and Morrocan, born in April 2011. They were a picture of domestic bliss for some time, but by December last year, Nick had filed for divorce and conferred with lawyers for a custody agreement.
Not so long ago, she was in a happy place enjoying both projects and wedded bliss with Cannon. Today, Canon may have moved on with a new object of affection, but it appears like Mariah has taken all of it in stride. Canon had openly stated that they would forever be a family and won't be bogged down by intrigues. The entertainment press has been relentless in getting a statement from Canon, but he has not budged, keeping mum on certain matters - like family decisions.
Mariah and Nick's twins presently get to spend time with their popular mom's New York City home, as well as their dad's sprawling $3-million home in the New Jersey suburbs. At the moment, the "The Art of Letting Go" singer is bracing for her Vegas residency in May, an opportunity to perform the songs of her life. As for the new studio or Christmas album reportedly being mapped out, fans will just have to wait it out.
