A new Nintendo membership service that will support many platforms such as tablets, PC, smartphones, and Nintendo devices is set for implementation in the fall of this year.

A post in TechRadar explored some possibilities about Nintendo NX in terms of how it's going to be different especially in comparison to other devices, the possible price, and the release date.

In the gaming platform industry, Nintendo NX is indeed up to a challenge. Innovations have been done already by companies such as Sony and Microsft. Almost nothing's left. But there are many ideas to come up with in the gaming industry.

TechRadar thinks that one possibility is for Nintendo to create a console-portable hybrid with an Xbox One/PS4-level system that could be taken on the go and be tethered to a TV. This is somewhat an innovation to the Wii U console, which lets gamers play while on the go as long as they are within the console's proximity.

In terms of the price, if the company intends to make a successful launch, Nintendo NX should be the cheapest hardware. It was noted that DS and Wii were able to gain popularity when the two platforms were launched at $150 and $250 respectively.

When talking about releases, Nintendo's track record of releases was mentioned that would give buyers a hint. Wii U was first announced ahead of E3 2011 and launched in 2012, 3DS was first announced early 2010 and came out the next year, DS was announced in 2003 and launched in 2004. Hence, a big chance that the 2016 release of Nintendo NX could not be delayed.

Though Wii was announced at E3 2004 and launched at 2006, it was considered an exception. A very low chance can happen for the NX to be released two years from now since Wii U is reportedly performing poor sales.

For now, what people could do is to wait for announcements from Nintendo about this mysterious gaming platform.
