A live-action trailer for Halo 5: Guardians has been released with hints of Master Chief's true and much-sought identity and his intention. As per Microsoft's statement, fans are encouraged to read between the lines and see what exciting news Halo 5: Guardians is bringing with regard Master Chief's fate.
Halo 5: Guardian's protagonist is expected to unravel its true identity by the looks of the trailer showing a bullet with "traitor" engraved on it. Speculations still go around the web for Guardian fans whether Master Chief is really what Earth is needing to save itself or somebody else that could destroy it.
After a thorough investigation of a Halo universe journalist and war photographer named Benjamin Giraud "hired to do an in-depth profile of the Master Chief," he implied that the protagonist might be a traitor after all, aside from what everyone is expecting of him being the boy, the soldier, the hero of the game. However, Giraud invites fans to track result of his search delving into the origins of Master Chief.
Meanwhile, the official Halo Twitter account tweeted beforehand a bullet image with caption: "Who is the Traitor?" The trailer also promises to provide both side of the story.
However, 343 Industries is not detailing much of the speculation but hopes are high for fans that more juicy information might come out in the game story on March 29.
In another recent report, Halo 5: Guardians head Josh Holmes broke the news that the title will exclusively be distributed with multiplayer components.
Halo franchise development director Frank O'Connor underscored reports surfacing that Master Chief will be the sole hero in the game, adding it will center on two playable characters which includes Locke. According to O'Connor, Locke will do the storytelling and will provide additional narrative context.
Halo 5: Guardians will exclusively be distributed to Xbox One on March 29.
