Recently, Rockstar released GTA V patches for PS3 and PS4 consoles with 1.23 and 1.09 respectively. These patches are said to be available worldwide with a size of 4.7GB approximately only through download.
With the existing errors from the Heist gameplay since it was first released, several patches were already released by the game developer. Just recently, they have 1.09 and 1.23 for PlayStation consoles. According to the official statement of Rockstar Games, these patches carry different fixes for issues and glitches occurred in the Heist missions.
Moreover, these are also considered the answer for an improved stability for GTA Online and at the same time, the Story Mode. This stability improvement is carried by Patch 1.09 of the PS4 platform, as mentioned in the game's patch notes:
- Additional fixes for GTA Online to improve stability, and other minor fixes for both GTA Online and Story Mode.
There are other patch note update appeared - 1.22/1.08, PS4 firsmware update 2.50 - which aren't confirmed by Rockstar yet as of the moment. These were just based from the unofficial patch notes reported.
It says that with these notes, they target the minor fixes for Paralle Occlusion, bugs, stability, similar to the mentioned 1.09 patch. When we say, Parallax Occlusion, it means that mechanism used to the current generation consoles. This is used to improve quality of the textures of the graphics seen in the game - roads, etc. and at the same time, to repair the broken mechanism of GTA V.
However, the difference is that it is good for PS3 and PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, as detailed:
- PS4/Xbox 1: Minor fixes for Parallax Occlussion, multiple bug and stability fixes
- PS3/Xbox 360: Multiple security, stability, and glitch fixes
With regards to the PS4 firmware update 2.50, it is a sort of help to neutralize the loading lag of GTA V 1. Thus, it revolves around the loading speed of the Heist missions. Basically, this is firmware update is to aid the 1.08 and 1.09 updates fixes as well.
Other new updates from the Heists will be the Casino DLC - considered the highly-awaited DLC since years. While having these new patches to update and to improve the mission [and the entire gaming experience] which Rockstar Games offer to fans.
Is this part of their apology to the awful bugs, errors to fans who were really disappointed from the awaited Heist missions? Maybe.
