It seems like both big companies, Sony and Microsoft, aren't been pleading to get No Man's Sky as their part of their exclusive game line-up. Both of these companies are complacent to the number of big titles waiting for their respective release dates leaving Hello Games' upcoming indie game to their final decision to which of them will be picked for the console release.
Reportedly, Hello Games hasn't confirmed their final decision to which of these two big game publishers will be chosen for their upcoming sci-fi indie game. Thus, these two have been luring the game developer to have this hyped and highly-anticipated "procedural art generation" game within their respective consoles, PS4 and Xbox One.
Amid this luring move from these two publishers, it was mentioned that Microsoft will find it hard to convince Hello Games to have No Man's Sky in Xbox One because of the previous controversial launch parity clause from other indie developers.
In the part of Sony, it will be easier for them to bear if the game developer will either choose or not to choose them because of their amazing titles - PS4 exclusive indie games - in their list.
Though Microsoft was guessed to face difficulty to get this indie game, EU Boss ID@Xbox Agostino Simonetta said in an interview that it wouldn't be a big loss for the company if Hello Games will not choose them for the game exclusive.
He cited that they have other titles currently worked on and they also have tons of games coming for Windows 10 and Xbox per se. So, he and his team will not regret missing out No Man's Sky as an Xbox One exclusive.
"That's an interesting question," he mentioned, "Look, last week, we announced we were working with Frontier on Elite, and there are so many games coming to Windows 10 and Xbox. Personally, no."
He added, "We have some exclusives that other platforms don't. Over 1000 developers have Xbox kit in their office today with over 100 games in development. My personal answer is that we have a very strong line-up."
No Man's Sky, according to some claims, has been confirmed to PS4 and PC release by August. However, Hello Games, as usual, remains silent for its possibility to have an Xbox One platform.
