‘Destiny’ patch 1.1.2 to increase vault size by up to over 20 items more; PlayStation firmware update suspend/resume feature not applicable in the game?

By

Bungie had released additional information regarding the recently launched "Destiny" patch 1.1.2. The latest patch was released prior to the highly anticipated "Destiny" "House of Wolves" DLC.

"Destiny" patch 1.1.2 would be dealing with the increase of the vault dimensions. From 20 armor pieces, weapons and general items, patch 1.1.2 would increase those numbers to 24 armor pieces, 36 weapons and 24 general items. However, based on the analysis by Bungie User Research Lead John Hopson very few people have even completely filled their vaults.

John Hopson said that "for example, 21% of players who are level 30+ have 4 or fewer free spaces in their weapon Vaults right now." He added that "the armor and general sections are slightly less full for most people, but not by much. He also noticed that "even at lower levels, there's a small but measurable fraction of players under level 20 who have full Vaults."

Add to that, the increase in vault size was limited due to the "memory constraints on older generation hardware;" PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers would no longer have the item comparison feature functionality at the vault. However, PS4 and Xbox One gamers would not be affected by the compromise in the vault size increase.

On the other hand, the latest firmware for PlayStation would hardly affect "Destiny," particularly with regard to the suspend/resume update. However, the "Destiny" patch 1.1.2 would enable this function once it's up and loaded, based on a report from Gamespot.

In an earlier report, "Destiny" patch 1.1.2 would focus on fixes on raid fixes, audio & visual, PvP ammunition and strikes, apart from vault space increase. Add to that, the latest patch would also be dealing with bugs that incidentally emerged after the launch of patch 1.1.1, like missing stats from weapons as well as missing items whenever gamers used the Companion App.

"Destiny" had announced that subsequent to the release of patch 1.1.2, they would soon be releasing "House of Wolves" DLC.
