By

April brings good news for Xbox one fans as new system updates add new features for the console. The system updates are for people who are in the Xbox one preview program and will only benefit them. These updates are Xbox's way to priming up their consoles for the rest of 2015, which is slowly being considered by many as becoming one of the best years for gamers.

The updates include the following:

  • Voice message capability - Xbox users can now easily send voice messages to each other with this voice message app for the console. Gamers can save audio messages easily with just a 'tap' of the button. Voice messages can also go between Xbox One and Xbox 360 users.
  • Upgraded chat services - Because of the sheer number of gamers using Xbox's chat, dedicated servers will be put up to handle volume chat 'parties' easily. It is important this online service be flawless as hard hitting multiplayer titles are set for release this year for the xbox. The update also gives chat 'IDs' for gamers, icons showing the microphone status of other players and can even weed out spam.
  • The 'What's On' feature- this allows xbox one users to quickly find popular movies, videos, TV shows and live broadcasts and podcasts. It allows gamers to also quickly find videos that are related to their game preferences.

Aside from these system updates, Xbox gold users will also have first dibs on game freebies. For Xbox one fans, they will have the chance to get their hands on games like Child of Light from Ubisoft and Pool nation FX. 360 gold users on the other hand will have their share of April's promo with titles like Gears of War: Judgement and Assassin's creed: Black flag. Xbox steadily upgrading their console and preparing fans for this year's awesome gaming season.
