Amanda Knox Acquittal Suggests Poor Italian Judicial System

By

More than seven years ago, Amanda Knox, an American exchange student in Italy, became a media favorite. Her life story was being captured and investigated after she was arrested for the killing of Meredith Kercher, her housemate. Today, what are the recent updates on the case?

Amanda Knox has been cleared with the murder charges of Kercher. It was shared that Knox will be returning to Italy to get compensation for being imprisoned for years. It is believed that it would be a hefty amount. Meanwhile, Knox' ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito shared with People that he felt that things will never be the same. He believed that a part of him was destroyed.

Knox and Sollecito's families might be celebrating even up until now after the reversal of the decision. Knox might even be preparing for her upcoming wedding to her fiancé. However, a lot of people are now asking the Italian Judicial system. Most believe that the system is clearly poor given the evidence and inconsistent alibis of Knox and Sollecito. Others have commented that the judicial system in Italy is a joke. Apparently, everyone was shocked about the final verdict of the court.

The only person who is still facing the charges on Kercher's case is Rudy Guede. The Kerchers are reportedly disappointed with the verdict. After so many years, the killer hasn't been found. If you must know, the investigators believed that Guede didn't act alone. The question now is, where are Kerchers killers?

Only Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito will know the real story. The Italian judicial system will remain questionable for millions. This might put a rest on Meredith Kercher's case on a legal perspective. But this will haunt her family as long as they live. Do you think there's a strong basis for Knox and Sollecito to be finally acquitted? Let us know your opinion.
