It is a bad day for Wolverine fans. "X-Men Apocalypse" might actually be the last movie where Hugh Jackman will play the role of Wolverine in the movies. His claws are about to retire as the movie recruits new and younger actors for the upcoming film franchise.
The star posted a picture of his fist with the iconic Wolverine claws on Instagram last March 29 with a caption, "Wolverine, one last time, HJ." The actor is current filming for his third and allegedly last movie, Wolverine, a last hurray for the synonymous actor for the role.
Hugh Jackman is set to be casted in the upcoming movie "X-Men Apocalypse" together with Lana Condor, the latest addition to the movie series to play the role of Jubilee. He is also rumored to be playing a cameo role on the movie Deadpool.
Jennifer Lawrence also left her character as Mystique. Marvel has now two open spots need to be filled immediately to complete the significant characters in the movie.
Warren Worthington III 'aka' Angel will also be appearing in the upcoming movie. A recently released art work of the soaring mutant confirmed his inclusion in the movie. With a filming schedule due this coming May, an announcement of Psylocke's role in the movie is also expected. Bryan Singer, the director of the movie initiated the reveal in his Instagram account with a picture of Angel inside a cage being marveled by an audience.
As for a possible plot in the movie, the film would most likely deal with events that will link the movie with the upcoming third installment of the Wolverine series.
Other casts for the upcoming movie includes Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner to play the role of the young Jean Grey, Kodi Smith Mcphee as the young Nightcrawler, Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers and Alexandra Shipps to play the role of Ororo Munroe.
X-Men Apocalypse is set to be released on cinemas on May 27, 2016.
