HTC has been secretly preparing a new line of phablet besides its One M9 flagship phones according to reports. During the past weekend, the company has published a website for the HTC One E9+ China release after numerous leaks have come out online. The said device will not only become available in China, but also to the rest of East Asia.

The HTC One E9+ looks something like a cross between the One M models and the Desire series. It comes with a 5.5” display with a BoomSound speaker on front. However, instead of getting a metal case, it gets a two-toned plastic body, with three available color options: “Meteor Grey,” “Gold Sepia,” “Classic Rose Gold.”

Under the hood, the HTC One E9+ China release is equipped with an eight-core MediaTek chip, which is definitely way better than the Qualcomm processors used on previous One E model. The new chip is paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD card.

Another awesome feature that the HTC One E9+ boasts is its Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440). What makes this an amazing spec is that the newly acquired chip was able to drive up to 534ppi on a 5.5” display more efficiently.

Other specs include the 2800mAh battery, a 20MP rear-facing camera, and a 4MP selfie camera. For connectivity, users get multi-mode LTE along with 802.11ac WiFi as well as dual nano SIM slots. The device is preinstalled with Android Lollipop OS with Sense 7.

For now, only the official details about the HTC One E9+ China release are available. However, more of them can be seen on its official website. When and how much will HTC’s new toy would cost are yet to be announced soon.
