The Last: Naruto the Movie is not actually the last movie for the much-loved Japanese cartoon series after all. A movie adapted from the story of the next generation of Naruto, Sasuke and the rest of the Konoha ninjas are being featured in the upcoming movie "Boruto: Naruto the Movie."
Masashi Kishimoto revealed in the premier of The Last: Naruto the Movie that he is already working on a new project that involves Naruto and Hinata's son, Boruto or Bolt. The upcoming movie is just one of the several movies that are included in the "Naruto New Era Project" that he has in mind. A Naruto Live Musical Stage Play is also set to premier in Japan and will run from March to April 2015.
Fans are celebrating because after saying goodbye to the Naruto movies, a new set of Naruto inspired manga and movies are still on Masashi Kishimoto's sleeves.
Boruto and Sarada will be featured in the upcoming movie as well as the several off springs of the ninja's of Konoha. Boruto's partner in crime Shikadai happens to be Shikamaru and Temari's son. The two will be playing pranks around town as well as the people living in it. Sakura and Sasuke's return to Konoha is also expected in the series. Sasuke's sins were forgiven by the current Hokage Kakashi, but he chose to stay in exile. Sarada, his daughter with Sakura is training to become a Genin which brings his family back into the town.
The movie is also believed to be the introduction to Naruto's term as the new okage of Konaha. Kakashi will leave his post as Hokage to discover the world. Gai on the other hand stays at the Oonoki's home, now in a wheelchair.
Konohamaru, Gaara, Chijuro, Kurotsuchi, Darui, Tenten and the rest of our much loved ninjas will also appear in the movie.
A rumored relationship between Sarada and Boruto will most likely be tackled in the manga but probably not in this upcoming movie.
"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" is set to hit Japan theaters this coming August 2015 and the US on October or November 2015.
