Fox News Hosts Aplogize after Critizing Kelly Clarkson's Weight On Air; 'HeartBeat Song' Singer Joins Fat shamed Stars

'American Idol' alumna Kelly Clarkson praised, but fat shamed on the same breath on air by two Fox's radio hosts. Hosts of 'The Mike Gallagher Show' commented on Friday that the 'Breakaway' singer had 'blow up' body and she should avoid "deep-dish pizza." However a day after the incident, radio personalities Mike Gallagher and Chris Wallace apologized for their remarks.

"Tubby Mike is the last person in the world who should bring up anyone's weight. I couldn't possibly feel any worse than I do for making an observation that led to the conclusion that I "fat-shamed" this talented and classy entertainer. It was a really stupid thing for me to do," Gallagher's regretful statement on his website.

"I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment. I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her," Wallace shared in a statement.

After a long gap of producing new music, Clarkson released her new album 'Piece by Piece' under RCA Records on March 3. The 'Already Gone' singer shared in her early interviews that while she's taking her break she faced certain throat problem that she thought she couldn't sing anymore. Good thing, the 32-year-old mom of River Rose recovered and now active in different singing engagements. However, she's also become one of the singers fat shamed by some media personalities like Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey.

"It's like, you're just who you are," Kelly said in her in interview on 'The Ellen deGeneres Show.' "We are who we are. Whatever size, and it doesn't meant that we're gonna be that forever."

Clarkson also admitted that her being creative is possibly one of the reasons of her changing weights and she accepted people's perception that she's the biggest girl on Idol not.

"Sometimes we're more fit. Like especially me, I'm such a creative person that I yoyo. So sometimes I'm more fit and I get into kickboxing hardcore. And then sometimes I don't, and I'm like ... I'd rather have wine," the 32-year-old 'Heartbeat Song' singer.

Fat shaming for celebrities like Kelly is not new as even Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga or 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star Rob Kardashian are subjects of this issue. In Inquisitr's report, some tabloids even fabricated news about Carrey's alleged miseries and then mentioned her weight problem.

Meantime, Fox news host Greta Van Susteren addressed the fat shaming incident by asking Wallace and Gallagher to apologise.

"This 'guy snickering' about her weight is obnoxious.," Van Susteren wrote on her blog, "He should (Chris Wallace) apologise."
