Comparing 'Neverwinter' on the Xbox One and PC: The differences of the two versions

By

The recently released MMORPG "Neverwinter" aims to make the games of its genre more popular on the newer generation consoles available in the market, but the question is whether this latest version is positively comparable to its PC counterpart.

Obviously, there are going to be certain elements of the two versions which are simply different from one another because of the platform they are running on.

In this case, the two main differences involve the user interfaces and the controls, which is to be expected given the platforms.

Saying which kind is better is entirely based on the preference of the gamer, so arguing about the specifics of each would be pointless at this juncture.

One area in which the differences could matter is in the graphics department.

The original "Neverwinter" was released nearly two years ago on the PC, according to Christian Today.

Given that fact, it is easy to assume that the Xbox One version would be capable of at least replicating, and perhaps maybe even exceeding the capabilities of its older brother, but it appears not to be the case.

When compared side by side, it is evident that the PC version of the game is still visually superior, according to Dual Shockers.

The PC version's advantage lies mainly with its superior overall definition, but the margin though small is still significant. Aside from that however, both games basically provide players with the same graphics.

In addition to the graphical gaps, the Xbox One version of "Neverwinter" also lacks the on-screen minimap present in the older edition.

Despite the perceived visual shortcomings, fans of the game, and those who are simply eager to try it can still take comfort in the fact that the latest version has had its controls optimized for the Xbox One controller, according to Geeky Gadgets.

Even though not having the minimap is an annoying obstacle, at least the players can still instinctively go through the game.
