Some of us thought that Oscar Pistorius' case ended when the court decided that he'd be sentenced for inculpable homicide. Many were not fond of the verdict and criticized the judge. They felt that justice was not served for Reeva Steenkamp. However, this might change as the case will be brought to higher court. This time, Pistorius might face murder charges.
Clearly, this isn't the best news for Pistorius. Months of trials are just exhausting, and now he will have to face graver ones. How do you think he is taking this news? Little is known on the athlete's updates after the prosecution failed to block the State from appealing his case in the Supreme Court of Appeal.
Few weeks before this unfortunate news for Pistorius camp, it was believed that he was doing 'not so bad' inside the prison. In fact, he was considered a role model for the other inmates. Because of his good conduct behind bars, he was given additional benefits. This is, of course, according to their rules. Other inmates are not allowed to have physical contacts with their visitors. Most of them are not allowed to wear 'blings'. Most have very limited budget. However, these things can be enjoyed by Pistorius. Perhaps, he should be enjoying while he can because no one knows what will happen when he faces other charges.
Oscar Pistorius claimed that everything that happened was just mere accident and that he never intended to kill Reeva Steenkamp. He felt that she was an intruder and that was his reason for shooting her multiple times. Steenkamp's mom was not convinced of this. She actually thinks that her daughter was about to leave the athlete and that could be the reason why Pistorius got furious to the extent of killing her. Sadly, we won't hear this side of the story from the victim. Let's just see what the court would say on Oscar Pistorius' case.
