Despite issues surrounding the controversial but successful book-turned-movie "50 shades of Grey", its sequel, "Fifty Shades Darker", is already starting to be in the works. In fact, the book's author E.L. James is reported to be planning on having a bigger hand in writing the film's script.
However, the movie will not be available yet even next year. It can be remembered that Sam Taylor-Johnson have decided not to direct the second movie after having conflicting views with James during the filming of the first installment. This and other disagreements are said to be the causes of delay. Moreover, James has still to formalize an agreement with Universal pictures on how to go about the film to be entitled 50 shades Darker as in the second part of the book trilogy.
FANS WON'T BE LEFT IN THE DARK
Still, fans of 50 shades of Grey will not be disappointed. They will just have to anticipate the take on the book adaptation. According to a source, filming may happen in 2016 and the movie could be out by 2017. Despite delays and while scouting for a director to join the team, the film's executives are making sure that this will push through. After all, the first installment left its viewers hanging.
CAST ALL SET
When it comes to casting, although the original director and writer Kelly Marcel won't be doing the second movie, the original lead stars will still be around. A report says that Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) have signed on a contract to do the sequel.
Based on the book, 50 shades Darker has Anastasia learning more of Christian's past including the women he had sexual relationships with who keep on confronting her. Christian also proposes marriage to Anastasia.
Will the Fifty Shades Darker Movie live up to the reader's imaginations and expectations? Can it top the record of Fifty Shades of Grey? Stay tuned for more updates!
