Dying Light dev Techland has made the blockbuster reveal of the trailer for their latest game, Project GC, which they may have over-advertised a bit. The game creator has also released the free hard mode update for Dying Light with a short video message teasing a lineup of DLC releases in the works.
YouTuber Ethan Shapiro posted a video thanking the people for playing the game. A glimpse of some of the new additions in the game was revealed towards the end of the video. New outfits, gameplay modes, and vehicle were shown amongst the other upcoming features of the game.
For instance, a new bow and arrow weapon were shown. There is also what seems to be a time trial mode and a new stadium arena. Lastly, a promising new vehicle in the form of a dune buggy was shown in the clip.
The CEO of Techland's game development, Pawel Marchewka, revealed in his statement as saying, "This is just the start of what we will be bringing you in the Dying Light world, and that they will continue the development of Dying Light. We want to hereby promise we will be actively supporting Dying Light with original content, such as new maps, modes, skills, quests, weapons, and much more," Marchewka says.
In related story, Techland has unveiled the trailer for their latest game, Project GC, on April 1. Project GC, or Project Guncat features the 'next evolution of shooter games' or so the devs say. The reported game is as comical as its name. The gameplay involves a cat shooting some birds in retaliation for waking it up. Apart from that and the power to change the cat's weapon, there is not much to say about the game.
It is unclear, though, as to why Techland described it as Project GC when the game is clearly entitled Guncat. Guncat is a mobile game developed by Short Break Games, Techland's mobile subsidiary and the game is already available in the App Store. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to the series of Dying Light DLCs to be released soon as promised.
