Vampire Diaries season 6 is coming to an end soon and when the show comes back, expect that things are going to get messy. The upcoming episodes bring new problems for the main characters and executive producer teases fans with the possibility of a finale that would break their hearts.
The latest spoilers on the next episode of Vampire Diaries season 6 involve not only Damon's struggle to tell Elena about the cure but also problems with Caroline, Bonnie, and Enzo.
Damon (Ian Somerhalder) wonders if he should tell Elena about the cure or not and then he talks to Elena (Nina Dobrev) about their future and what life would be like if they were not vampires. Fans know Elena has been struggling with the fact that she cannot have a normal life and a family, especially since she knows that Alaric and Jo (Matthew Davis and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe respectively) are starting one.
More problems arise with Caroline (Candice Accola), who seems unstoppable when a plan to end her rampage does not work out, and Bonnie (Kat Graham), who finds out that Damon betrayed her and she is out for blood. Meanwhile, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) looks for answers after facing his terrible past and is taken aback when he finds out how he turned into a vampire.
On top of that eventful future episode, executive producer Julie Plec teased fans through Twitter that the season finale will be something unexpected and that there was crying involved during the weekend she and fellow executive producer Caroline Dries wrote the script. However, Plec further teased that the crying was "perhaps unrelated.
Prehaps not". While there are rumors that this means either a Damon-Elena wedding or a step forward in the Stefan-Caroline relationship, fans are speculating that it might be related to a character's death. The show's six season saw two upsetting deaths so the tweets are understandably worrying fans.
Could this potential death be because of Nina Dobrev and Michael Trevino's departure from the show after season 6? Fans will have to wait to find out. Vampire Diaries season 6 returns on April 16 on The CW.
