After a shaky start, Battlefield Hardline quickly rose up the UK charts and continues to dominate the number one spot for more than three weeks already. Even though it reaped negative comments at first about its apparent divergence to the 'battlefield - warzone' theme, it stayed on its course and is now reaping the rewards.
The UK three week chart topping success
Even after sales dwindle down according to Videogamer, the Hardline continues to reign over big titles such as Bloodborne and GTA V in UK's top console games of 2015. The success came as a surprise as sustained comments about its 'constrained' feel continually reminded everyone its difference from the epic and vast battle sequences featured in previous BF titles. The warzone experience is what made the franchise popular, which Hardline replaced with a cops and robbers, banter fluffed duel.
However, fans seem to think otherwise, especially those playing the game in the UK. It is still strong in its first place position at the moment, though GTA V may out best it in the coming week as patches are released to fix its graphic degrading problem console gamers are experiencing.
Nerfing the Deadly Hardline Couch
Much to the dismay for fans of the deadly, rampaging, Hardline Couch of doom, the indiscriminate, killing weapon will get nerfed for good. A patch will ultimately tone down the killing efficiency of this drivable couch, which is interestingly called 'the American dream.' The sofa's issues range from its rapid health recovery and repair rate extensively so that it will ultimately fulfill the so called, 'intentions' of Visceral that the sofa is to be a one off experience.
If Visceral games is just adding a sense of hilarity for adding this rampaging sofa or subtlety commenting on the so called 'American dream' as to getting achievements while being a couch potato no one knows, but the sofa will get nerfed, Bad news indeed.
