The Winds of Winter, the sixth volume of "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series by author George R.R. Martin, is expected to be released this 2016. The said novel showcases Alayne Stone's point of view and will be the backbone of the hit HBO Original Series Game of Thrones Season 6.
A few days ago, HBO released the much awaited Game of Thrones Season 5. Fans have been anxiously waiting for its big reveal hoping to see big twists and turns between the characters. The series is a rendition of the Song of Ice and Fire book series of the best selling 67-year-old author George R.R. Martin. Game of Thrones Season 6 will be based on The Winds of Winter, another novel by the same author which everyone is anticipating for him to finish writing sooner than expected.
Many experts have tried to determine the release date of the said novel by means of analyzing the George R.R. Martin's work ethic on the previous novels. However, during an interview, Martin revealed that he put off interviews and a couple of convention appearances to focus on working with The Winds of Winter novel. Additionally, the author also detached himself from writing Game of Thrones' Season 6 script to allow himself to finish his latest writing project.
As the author tries to finish The Winds of Winter as fast as he could, he likewise released spoilers on how the story will go. He says that the new novel will make the readers go crazy with the shocking twists and turns that the characters will grow out of. He adds that the books is very organic, natural and that three to four of the characters' involvement in the series will finally make sense with the release of the sixth novel in "A Song of Ice and Fire" Series.
George RR Martin released an excerpt for the upcoming "The Winds of Winter" in his official blog. The excerpt reveals the story of Sansa Stark who now uses the name Alayne Stone in order to conceal her identity.
